On the very edge of the Somerset Levels, Highbridge is conveniently located close to the M5, and just two miles from the pretty seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea, with it's famous seven mile stretch of golden sands.

Transport

With its weekly livestock market, today's Highbridge is a small but thriving town, its proximity to the motorway driving growth in light industry, and making it an attractive base for commuters. Bridgwater is less than 10 miles away; Taunton and Bristol are both within easy driving distance. Excellent mainline rail services - with direct trains to Cheltenham, Exeter and London - are another major plus.

Leisure

Close to Withycombe Meadow, you'll find a range of local amenities, including restaurants, a supermarket and the sports centre. Highbridge is also well supplied with good pubs, including The Cooper's Arms, one of the best real ale-houses in the region. But for many, the real thrill of living here is being so close to the seaside. The seven mile beach is one of the longest stretches of golden sand in Europe, with donkey rides starting from the jetty during the summer season. And Burnham-on-Sea has plenty more to offer, including good shopping; a beautiful wildlife haven, complete with children's play area; an a fantastic variety of excellent places to eat, to suit all tastes.
