About the area
Stotfold, borders Herfordshire and Bedfordshire and so is an ideal location. The new development of Greenacres is home to a wide range of shops and businesses catering for everyday needs. These include a small supermarket, a newsagent, a bakery, a pharmacy, a library, a church, a hairdresser and a garage.
A more extensive range of facilities can be found in Letchworth, a 10 minute drive from Greenacres housing development. Letchworth, the world’s first ‘Garden City’ offers a huge choice of high street and independent stores, and its leisure opportunities are many and varied, including live music and entertainment, museums and art galleries, sports facilities, cinemas, cafes, fashionable bars and restaurants.
Education
Education in Bedfordshire is provided on a three-tier level, with a choice of lower schools within Stotfold catering for children aged four to nine years and provision for older children found in neighbouring Arlesey and Clifton. A selection of pre-school groups are also available within Stotfold, and an adult education centre is based at Clifton.

Transport
For commuters, the A1 is just a couple of minutes’ drive from Greenacres, while Arlesey railway station is two miles away, from where the capital is just 40 minutes away by train. A regular bus service into Arlesey runs every day of the week.
