One of the most stressful things about buying a new home is relying on other people.
Will you find a buyer? Will your current buyer change their mind? Will your most promising buyer suddenly get lost in another property chain?
If you’re planning to move but you can’t find a buyer, then why not sell your home to us? We could take it as one of our Part Exchange Homes* in return for a superb new Taylor Wimpey home, at an agreed price. So you don’t have to worry about chains and delays and you’ll save on estate agents’ fees too!
Step one
- Visit one of our developments and speak to our Sales Executive about our Part Exchange Homes scheme.
- They will ask a few questions about your existing home, such as its location and its approximate value.
- To qualify for our Part Exchange Homes scheme you will need to be trading up from your existing property, and the value of your home should be no more than 70% of the new Taylor Wimpey home you want to buy.
- If you are happy with our Part Exchange Terms and Conditions, you can complete our Part Exchange Homes Form.
- We can then take a provisional reservation on your new Taylor Wimpey home.
Step two
- We will arrange for a minimum of two Selling Agents to carry out valuations on your existing home, on our behalf.
- Our instruction will be for the agents to provide us with an opinion of anticipated selling price - not an asking price.
- Our Part Exchange Homes manager may also visit you to get a better understanding of your existing home.
Step three
- Once the valuations are back, we will make you a verbal offer for your existing home and will confirm the offer in writing.
- If you agree to our offer, we will instruct our solicitors to proceed with the sale. You will need to instruct your own legal advisors as well.
- Now your provisional reservation on your new home becomes a full reservation!
