Sales executive Jeannette reflects on her near 20 year career with us

Following a stint working in the travel sector, Jeannette Stevens joined us in 2005 wanting to build on a career in sales. As she approaches her 20th year working for the company, Jeannette talks through some of her memories during this time.

Sales Executive

An enjoyable career

“I can’t believe next year will be my twentieth working for Taylor Wimpey, it seems a lifetime ago when I started on my first development, Chatsworth Manor in Ruislip, Middlesex.

“I have sold so many homes since then, with some really fond times to look back on. I’ve sold to some people not just once but three times - it’s a fantastic feeling to know you’ve helped someone purchase a home once, let alone more than this. It is wonderful to have customers recognise me from a previous purchase, too.”

Orchard Chase

Jeannette began working in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire in 2012 and was so pleased with the homes she was selling that in 2018 she decided to purchase one for herself at Orchard Chase in Biggleswade.

“I loved the Langdale house type, and its particular  location on the development, that we decided to make a purchase. I often bump into my customers out and about in the local area which is lovely.

“One of the best things about the Langdale is the large sociable kitchen, that you can have as a kitchen diner or as a kitchen with a snug area. We loved that it has four good sized bedrooms and looks impressive from the front as well.”

Commenting on what she loves about her job, Jeannette added: “I really enjoy the freedom of the role, speaking to customers and guiding people on their journey to purchase a new home.”
