Cleaning Technician

At Taylor Wimpey we're all about providing quality to our customers.  We are looking for a cleaning technician to work on one site at a time to complete various cleaning tasks depending on the building phase.  The purpose of the role is to ensure a high standard of plot cleanliness.

 

The Cleaning Technicians are responsible for the thorough cleaning of all house plots on site and eventually preparing them for the Customer to move in. The Cleaning Technicians will work alongside the Site Managers and will have a structured programme to follow for each development. The Technicians will be responsible for the plots on site, the site compound, show home(s) and stock plots.

 

Each Technician will be equipped with appropriate site PPE and all necessary set-up materials and will have a budget for equipment per plot.

 

The Role:

  • To clean the plots on site, the site compound, the show home (s) and the stock plots.

  • Work areas to be cleaned as work progresses and waste materials to be disposed of appropriately.

  • Cleaning of each property including the garage if necessary.

  • External doors, garage doors, door frames and meter boxes to be thoroughly cleaned.

  • Internal cleaning of PVCu window frames and glass.

  • Cleaning of all ceramic and sanitary wear in the properties, including taps, shower screens, wastes to remove all dust and grime.

  • Kitchen and utility units to be cleaned and polished, as well as worktops, sinks, taps and appliances.

  • Potential scraping of concrete from garages/property floors.

  • Floors to be swept/vacuumed and mopped.

  • Carpets to be vacuumed and any stains removed.

  • Cleaning and polishing of all gloss painted surfaces.

  • Internal doors, radiators, cabinets, and other surfaces to be cleaned and polished.

  • Intensive clean of each plot prior to the customer moving in (Sparkle Clean).

  • Check that each plot is immaculate and fresh for each customer to move in.

 

The Person:

  • Proven working experience as a cleaner

  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

  • Integrity

 

In order to be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
