Top 50 Property Top company

We offer paid apprenticeships across site management, carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing and many more. Our apprenticeships are designed to give you the right balance between classroom learning and hands on experience ensuring you are best placed to be offered a permanent opportunity following your studies. Depending on the trade you opt for and your level of experience, an apprenticeship with Taylor Wimpey should be completed in 3-5 years and you would formally qualify with a level 2 or level 3 diploma in a construction related discipline.

Talented apprentices are the future of our production business and we are investing in relationships across the country with schools and colleges. We are the key sponsor for Buckinghamshire University Technical College Aylesbury and are committed to taking an apprenticeship intake from the college each year into our local sites and business units.

Site Management Apprenticeship

Our Site Management Apprenticeship scheme offers you the chance to build a hands-on career, working with all kinds of people and gaining a really valued qualification. Site Management is one of the most important roles in our production teams. The Site Manager, with the support of the Assistant, coordinates all site based activity. Without a strong Site Management team in every business, we would be unable to deliver our customer’s homes on time and to the quality that they expect from Taylor Wimpey.

We have a long history of successfully developing many trade apprentices (long may this continue!) and we now want to employ further talented individuals to become our future driving force in site management, but with an exciting, new twist - learning first-hand how our business works as a whole!

Our business is made up of a number of different departments, all as important as each other. As part of the scheme, you’ll have the opportunity to work in all of them, involving both site and office work.

The departments range from Technical (Engineers/Architects), Commercial (Quantity Surveyors/Buyers) to Land & Planning as well as Sales, Finance and Customer Service.  Gain an insight into how all these departments work and fit together, then use your valuable knowledge to become one of our future Assistant Site Managers and in the future possibly manage a site with over a 100 people responsible to you!

Below outlines some further detail regarding the scheme which you may find useful:

  • Maximum 3 year programme
  • Spend time working in different departments
  • Gain in depth knowledge of site management
  • Achieve relevant vocational qualification
  • You’ll have a personal mentor who’ll support you throughout the apprenticeship
  • Appointment as an Assistant Site Manager upon successful completion of training

We look forward to hearing from you!
