    Stoke Poges is a delightful network of village homes and sedate country lanes with pleasing countryside living just three miles from Slough and 23 miles from Hyde Park Corner.

    The name comes from ‘stoke’ meaning stockaded, plus the surname of a then medieval knight of the shire, Pogeys.

    Conveniently located for London and Heathrow Stoke Poges has rail links in Gerrards Cross and Slough and easy access to the M40 and M4 motorways.

    There are local shops for daily essentials such as the newsagent, convenience store and post office, which is less than half a mile away. Others included are a pharmacy, various sit down and take away cuisine restaurants and greengrocers.

Alternatively, Colne Valley Regional Park possesses 40 square miles, straddling the west side of the M25 with farmland, woodland and water. In addition to this, there are 200 miles of rivers and canals plus 60 lakes, making the area popular for those who enjoy the outdoors.

    Local nurseries in the area take care of the little ones, while schools such as Wexham Court Primary School 1 mile away and Stoke Poges School only 1.3 miles* away educate the pre-senior years.
