About Northwich

Northwich is an attractive market town in the heart of Cheshire renowned for its black and white timbered buildings. You will find an excellent selection of independent shops along with a traditional indoor and outdoor market. The town sits at the confluence of the River Dane and the River Weaver and is famed for its rich history with salt and the chemical industry.

On your doorstep

The Northwich Community Woodlands is nearby and provides over 370 hectares of woodland, meadows and wetland, this is a haven for many wildlife species including woodpeckers and sandpipers.

Enjoying life at Northwich

There are a variety of bars and restaurants just on your doorstep, as well as an excellent shopping centre, which is almost entirely pedestrianised with ample, easy access free car parking for more than 2,200 cars. Young families can enjoy days out at Barnaby's Play Barn, or get the pulse racing at Go Ape in Delamere Forest.

Getting out and about

With its amazing transport links, Winnington Village is a much sought-after development for commuters. The town is well served by river, rail and road communications. The Weaver is an important navigable waterway; the Chester to Manchester railway runs through Northwich and the mainline from London Euston to Liverpool and the North of England passes nearby. Roads and bus services link it with all parts of Cheshire and provide fast access to the M6 and M56 motorways.
