Set in the heart of the South West, Plymouth is the regional capital of Devon and Cornwall. Uniquely located between the moors and the sea this vibrant waterfront city is a very desirable area in which to live.
Plymouth is rich in cultural, sporting, entertainment, architectural and historic attractions and beautiful rural beaches. Amongst its key attractions Plymouth has preserved its Elizabethan Barbican and harbour, which is home to many boutique shops, art galleries and restaurants.
When it comes to a bit of retail therapy, Plymouth city centre has it covered, being the largest centre for shopping in the South West. Drake Circus is home to everything from high street names to independent shops – all under one roof. Plymouth’s high street is pedestrianised and has an extensive range of shops, and you could always bag a bargain at Plymouth City Market.
There are frequent rail services to Cornwall and London Paddington or if you fancy a trip to France or the Spanish port of Santander during the summer and autumn there are regular car cruise-ferry services from Plymouth.
