    Proud of the community vote

As part of our national Proud campaign, we’re inviting residents from St Albans to have their say on which local cause is deserving of a helping hand. We’ll be listening to the feedback from the local communities in which we build our homes and will be offering our support to a local group or charitable organisation.

Local residents are invited to vote for one of two organisations to receive a £1,000 donation. The nominated groups are Centre 33 and St Albans District Beavers. Centre 33, based on Spicer Street, was founded in 1977 and is run by a group of over 100 volunteers. The charity provides support for homeless and disadvantaged people in St Albans and offers a drop-in centre, where people can relax in a comfortable environment and enjoy a free meal and a drink. St Albans District Beavers provides the opportunity for children aged 6 to 8 to get together to take part in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities as well as participate in camping and sleepover events.

Members of the local community can place their vote for the cause they would most like to see receive a donation by emailing their preference to proudstalbans@taylorwimpey-pr.co.uk. Votes will need to be received by midnight on Sunday 10th February and only one vote per person will be counted. The winner will be announced on Monday 18th February and will be awarded a £1,000 donation from Taylor Wimpey.
