We are delighted that our outline planning application was approved and our legal agreement for the S106 has now been issued for 129 new homes, 69 of which will be affordable homes for people in the local community, together with new accessible public open space, new infrastructure and land for community use, on land east of Mere Road and west of Sleaford Road, Branston.
The emerging Central Lincolnshire Core Strategy sets a target for 42,800 new homes to be built in central Lincolnshire by 2031 and indicates that Branston, along with 20 other villages, will need to take a share of 3,325 new homes.
We presented our proposals for the development to local people during a public exhibition held in September 2013. The public consultation gave people the opportunity to find out more about potential development options and to provide their feedback on the emerging scheme.
Following this initial consultation and our outline planning permission Taylor Wimpey is in the process of designing the detail of the scheme to submit as a final planning application after further consultation to North Kesteven District Council.
