    About the area

Highfield Court is bringing a wonderful collection of brand new homes in a wide choice of styles – all in walking distance of two stations. So if you are looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, each one offers modern design and energy-efficient living space in a relaxed streetscape and commuter-friendly location.

From the Ickenham village hub to local shopping parades you will find everything from convenience stores and coffee spots, to Waitrose in nearby Ruislip and Sainsbury’s in Uxbridge to cover life’s essentials. Local hostelries still offer a traditional welcome with beer gardens and garden games for youngsters, real log fires in winter and award-winning ales, while the biennial Ickenham Festival celebrates the sense of community at a gala day of festivities, fête and fireworks.

Families will find playgroups and primary schools, together with Douay Martyrs and Vyners schools – both with Sixth Form – at senior level.

Ickenham is home to Cricket, Rugby, and the Swakeleys Tennis Club, with Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex just two miles away. Youngsters will find RAF Cadet Groups for exciting flying and gliding activities, Hillingdon Music Hub where 5–18-year-olds can learn and perform musical instruments, while Ickenham’s Compass Theatre has a calendar of shows and popular youth theatre. Odeon Uxbridge offers a state-of-the-art multiscreen, whilst the world-class Wembley Arena is just 22 minutes away by Underground. Golfers will enjoy the undulating parkland course, set in the stunning surrounding countryside. Follow the River Pinn Walk, part of the Hillingdon Trail taking in woods and meadows, nature reserves and riverside walkways. Discover the spectacular ‘Willow tree wander’ or Denham Country Park with its visitor centre to pick up a map, watch birdlife on the webcam, or simply relax on the café veranda watching the river flow with an ice-cream freshly made at a local farm.

Ruislip Lido’s 60-acre lake with sandy ‘beaches’, water’s edge pub and café, play and watersplash areas as well as narrow gauge railway running through trees and along the lake edge nestles in Ruislip Woods, a treasure of ancient trees and changing colours through the seasons.

When it comes to fast-tracks, West Ruislip station runs into Marylebone in 26 minutes, and is situated on the Central Line, whilst Ickenham Underground station on Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines, connects you to Liverpool Street or Moorgate in 50 minutes or less. Road links are excellent too with the M40 and M25 nearby, and Watford, Slough and Heathrow within 11 miles away.
