    More kits for Marton juniors

Marton Football CMarton FC 1lub in Middlesbrough has further invested in its junior training equipment thanks to a donation from Taylor Wimpey

We provided the under 13s team with almost £500 worth of sponsorship, which has been used to kit them out with much-needed training tracksuits.

Dale Conway, under 13s team manager describes how essential the donation is.  He explained: “We are just a short distance from Taylor Wimpey’s Scholars Rise development and have been overwhelmed with their support.

“We provide excellent resources for children across the region and football is the perfect way to ensure they keep fit whilst having fun; but without basic assets like training kits and the subsequent support from companies like Taylor Wimpey we’d struggle.”

Marton Football Club has 12 teams ranging from under 10s right through to under 18s.

Discussing their decision to support the Club Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire explains how they were more than happy to help.

She commented: “We are thrilled to be supporting Marton Football Club and to have provided children from across the region with brand-new training tracksuits, which look really smart.

“With our Scholars Rise development just a short distance from where the teams play, we were extremely keen to help out as they are a key part of the local community.”

Middlesbrough Prissick Rovers Junior Football Club has received a cash boost from Taylor Wimpey.

The club, which is based at Macmillan Academy on Stockton Road, has been able to give the club a full make-over, by investing in brand-new balls and training kits as well as bench coats, thanks to the donation.

Dave Ramrehka, under 15s manager at Prissick Rovers comments: “Running a football club is expensive and as our finances are often extremely stretched, donations like this are invaluable to our work.

“The money has been spent on necessities such as training kits and equipment; and the lads have been given a real boost knowing they have the backing of a national company – so we’re all incredibly grateful for the support.”

Prissick Rovers was established in 2006 and is run entirely by volunteers; with the current under 15s team sitting joint second in division three of the Under 15 league in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance (TJFA).

Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire comments: “Prissick Rovers provides facilities for a number of youngsters across the region; and with our Scholars Rise development based just a short distance from the club, we jumped at the chance to help out.”

Dave concludes: “I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their generosity on behalf of the whole club - we hope this marks the start of a long and successful partnership.”
