Lime Gardens offers a superb collection of 3 & 4 bedroom homes in the picturesque village of Sowerby, just outside of Thirsk.

The historic town was home to the famous author James Herriot, and has a charm all of its own, centred on the bustling, cobbled market square.

Homebuilder gives The Clock a helping hand

Leading homebuilder, Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, has donated £300 to charitable organisation The Clock, Thirsk, to fund tools and resources for its furniture recycling project.

The Clock is an independent charitable organisation based close by to the homebuilder’s Lime Gardens development. The charity offers services such as providing support, learning opportunities and delivering activities to young people and adults across North Yorkshire.

Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire’s donation will be used to help fund the community refurbishment and recycling workshop, where donated items will be repaired, refurbished and recycled by a team of service users.

Abigail Homer, chief executive officer at The Clock, comments: “We’re very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for the kind donation, helping us to set up our furniture recycling project.

“The workshop will help the young people to develop new skills or improve existing ones, whilst giving them a place to socialise and grow their confidence in a safe and supportive setting.”

Steven Ball, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, comments: “At Taylor Wimpey, we like to give back to the communities in which we build, there is no cause too large or too small for us to get involved with.

“The Clock is a great local charity doing important work in the community, we were more than happy to provide the donation towards their new project.”
