Community Carnival Marches On With Donation
We gave a funding boost to the annual Brackley Community Carnival in Northamptonshire.
Our East Midlands and South Midlands regional businesses donated £1,600 towards the running of the community event, which took place on Saturday 14th June
This year’s carnival theme was ‘Anything Goes!’. Carnival day began with a procession of floats which ran from Brackley Sawmills through the streets of the town, followed by an afternoon of entertainment at Magdalen College School.
Attractions included a dog show run by Up N Over Dog Training and a performance by the Vander Brothers, a duo of acrobats who impressed with their high-octane show in their Vander Space Wheel.
Other acts included Clown Bluey, a clown with a fire engine, and an act which featured giant Slinkies in a choreographed routine.
Gareth Jacob, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, says: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, so we were only too pleased to offer our support to the Brackley Carnival.
“I hope the people of Brackley had a wonderful carnival day and enjoyed all of the superb entertainment on offer.”
Robert Curry, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “We are just starting to build our brand new homes in Brackley and sponsoring this important community event is the ideal way to mark this milestone.
“We are glad that our sponsorship helped to boost this year’s Brackley Carnival and we look forward to supporting other local organisations in the future.”
Taylor Wimpey East Midlands and South Midlands are both building new homes at Radstone Fields – Taylor Wimpey South Midlands at Chestnut Grove at Radstone Fields.
Kerrie and Matthew step on the property ladder with Help to Buy
“The Help to Buy scheme was really quick and efficient – after we applied we received a response within a week. Having access to this initiative has definitely influenced our decision in what type of property we purchased, as it enabled us to choose something bigger.
“Chestnut Grove is a really attractive development. It boasts a lot of style with modern designs, and everyone is really friendly.
“We wanted a three-bedroom home and we really liked the look of the ‘Yewdale’. The design of the property is great and the fact it’s detached also really appealed to us, as it fits our needs.
“We reached the point where we wanted to be homeowners, and as I grew up in Northamptonshire and my family still live in the area we thought this would be a great place to buy our first house.
“There are loads of amenities within walking distance of the development, including shops and schools, which is ideal if we have children.
“Buying our home with Taylor Wimpey was a very smooth process. They kept us up to date with everything and before we moved in we were able to see the house whenever we wanted to.
“Taylor Wimpey is a good company to go for and they offer great value for money, plus the staff are really attentive. If we need anything it’s quite often the Site Manager knocking on the door to come and help us!”
