The application, which was submitted in June 2019 and was approved on 19th February 2020, provides details of the layout, scale, appearance and landscaping and materials of the development.

What’s proposed
Taylor Wimpey has been granted approval from Wellingborough Borough Council for a new residential development of 261 homes,  of which 26 are affordable homes, served by a vehicular access on land off Niort Way, Wellingborough.
The development will deliver a good mix of both private market and affordable housing that will cater for a variety of housing needs, ranging from one bedroom to five-bedroom properties, including apartments, terraced, semi-detached, detached designs.


Wellingborough is a large market town in Northamptonshire, and is situated 11 miles from Northampton city centre. Wellingborough is a suitable location for new homes and is well served with a good range of local amenities, including:
  • A local primary school and nearby secondary school.
  • A good selection of shops, including supermarkets.
  • Leisure facilities including a cricket club, football clubs and leisure centres.
  • Good bus and rail links
