Sebrina and family have never been happier after moving to Taylor Wimpey's Longford Park

    Sebrina 1 IMG_4310

When Sebrina and Leon O’Rourke wake up in their new Taylor Wimpey home each morning, they’re reminded of the fact that they finally live in their dream family property at Longford Park in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The couple, along with their son Harvey and daughter Lake, moved into their brand new four-bedroom ‘Langdale’ home in February, after relocating from a three-bedroom 1930s house they owned across town.

After outgrowing their previous home, Sebrina and Leon decided to move so they could have more space for their family, and were determined to find their dream place.

Sebrina, who works as a childminder, says: “We were already living in Banbury and wanted to stay local, both for the children at school and for my business, so Longford Park offered the perfect location for us.

“After selling our old property, we actually rented for five months before moving into our new home, as we loved it so much we did whatever was needed to secure this house.

“The ‘Langdale’ is everything we wanted – it offers us more space for our family and also for the children who I look after during the day at work. It’s ideal because we have two reception rooms so one can be used as a play room and Leon and I still have our own space.

“Our house before had a really limited living area and our daughter Lake had such a small bedroom that she had no space to play, so it’s much better for her.

“The ‘L’ shape layout of this property really appealed to us as it was quite different and we love the open-plan living space. We looked at other four-bedroom designs but none of them stood out to us like the ‘Langdale’ did.

“It’s also perfect as we have a much bigger garden than at our last home – which is better for Harvey as he’s football mad and there wasn’t enough room for him to kick a ball about before.”

The pair decided to purchase a new-build home as it suited all of the family’s needs.

“Our plot has an amazing location as we’re right at the bottom of the development, so it’s private and we’re not overlooked,” says Sebrina. “Once the development is finished there will be a walkway to fields nearby and trees outside the front, so it will be a really nice area.

“We decided to purchase a new-build as Leon works away and the children have lots of hobbies after school so we don’t have much time for DIY work, so we were able to move in and start living straight away.

“We outgrew our last house in three years but we know we’re never going to outgrow this property. We all love it here – I still pinch myself everyday as I can’t believe it’s our home.”

The family were able to make a hassle-free move thanks to the excellent customer service provided by Taylor Wimpey.

Sebrina continues: “The Taylor Wimpey staff were just amazing! Debbie and Janet the Sales Executives were fantastic and they paid so much attention to detail, and James the Site Manager would make sure we were looked after.

“It was the little things they did which really helped us settle in. James even made sure our steps were swept for us on the day we moved in and everyone was really accommodating. The team assisted with things that we didn’t even think about but it made a huge difference.

“We were amazed by the fact that James had so many houses at the development to look after yet he remembered who we were and would sort out any issues we had – it’s been fantastic from start to finish.”

Now they’re settled into their new home, the whole family is enjoying life at Longford Park.

“We’re so lucky to have got this house and I’d sing Taylor Wimpey’s praises from the rooftop – they’re such a great team,” adds Sebrina.

“This is more than a dream house for us. We’re so excited to be here and the house move was so much easier than we thought it could be. Taylor Wimpey went beyond what you’d expect and every day here is a pleasure.”
