Taylor Wimpey supports 'Bands on the Boundary' event in Didcot

As part of ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire has donated £1,500 to sponsor the Boundary Park Sports Association for their event ‘Bands on the Boundary’.

 

The ‘Bands on the Boundary’ event was held between the 13th to 15th July at Great Western Park in Didcot, and was a fun-filled event which hosted plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. From bouncy castles and craft tents, to a wide selection of food vans and a beer tent, ‘Bands on the Boundary’ saw families soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the acts. A selection of bands from Oxfordshire performed live music, showcasing how Great Western Park is now a thriving community in full swing. Paul Costello, Chairman of the Boundary Park Sports Association, said: “Following the success of the previous ‘Bands on the Boundary’ event last year, we fully expected this year’s event to be bigger and better, and it was.

 

With the event offering something that everyone can enjoy, ‘Bands on the Boundary’ was an excellent opportunity to feel a community buzz - it also gave us a chance to meet some new faces that have recently moved to Great Western Park. We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire for kindly sponsoring the event, it was greatly appreciated and meant we could put on a great show”.

 

 

 

Taylor Wimpey customer sells their home and secures a new one in just 48 hours

Many people think that it will take several months to find the perfect home, but for Andrew Griffiths, 29, and his partner Jenna Ray, 28, this was not the case. After falling in love with a four-bedroom Shelford at the Taylor Wimpey Brunel Rise development, the pair had reserved the property, and sold their own, in the space of just 48 hours. This was thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange scheme, which was so successful Andrew’s brother decided to follow in their footsteps and reserve a home using Part Exchange, just five doors down.
 
Andrew and Jenna were previously based in a two-bedroom house in Didcot for two and a half years before deciding to up size. With a wedding on the horizon, the couple wanted to secure a new home together before the celebrations. Andrew’s former property was a much loved new build, so it seemed an obvious decision to look into new builds again. On the hunt for a new home, Taylor Wimpey houses appeared online, and the stylish interiors persuaded Andrew and Jenna to visit the show home at the Brunel Rise development.
 
It was during this visit that the pair found their dream home, a four-bedroom Shelford, perfectly positioned in a quiet cul-de-sac, just round the corner from Andrew’s parents. However, after experiencing difficulties trying to sell their previous property Andrew and Jenna were concerned that this issue would arise again. But, with Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange scheme, the couple were able to purchase a new home instantly, as Taylor Wimpey bought their previous property. This process removes the buying chain, streamlines the purchasing process and enables home buyers to secure their desired property.
