A home for everyone
New residents secure Taylor Wimpey home in Shrewsbury
Taylor Wimpey North Midlands is proud to announce that it has, once again, homed another happy couple at its new Shrewsbury-based development, Lily Hay.
Satveer and Ana have been together for four years and were initially living in a rented apartment in Wolverhampton when the young couple decided to take their relationship to the next level.
At the same time as successfully securing their new home at the beginning of December 2020Satveer and Ana were also celebrating their four-year-anniversary when Satveer proposed to Ana under the guise of receiving the keys to their new forever home.
Commenting on their experience with Taylor Wimpey so far, Satveer and Ana, said: “Initially when we started looking to buy, we were looking for an older property. However, a combination of the pandemic and financial changes, meant that buying a new build property was a much more logical option. We looked at other developers in the area, but after meeting Christine at Taylor Wimpey and seeing the difference in the size of the homes - we were sold. We were also really impressed with the ceiling heights of the homes and completely fell in love with the development at Lily Hay.
“Lily Hay has been designed tastefully and it doesn't feel like the homes have been squashed in. The location is ideal and I would just like to thank everyone at Taylor Wimpey, especially Christine, Megan and Kevin, for not only helping me arrange the proposal but also keeping it a secret and getting the home finished on time for me to propose on our anniversary!”

Residents in Shrewsbury get creative for Christmas
Taylor Wimpey North Midlands added the perfect touch to Christmas at its Lily Hay development in Shrewsbury, after donating £1000 towards the MyShrewsbury “Decorate your Doorstep” competition. The donation, which has helped fund the local community’s winter holiday initiative, transformed Lily Hay into a stylish and festive looking development for all residents to see. Getting into the festive spirit, the doorstep of one of the showhomes was decorated, and featured a beautiful wreath and garland made by local small business Rosey Rae Interiors.
The annual competition aims to encourage the whole town to celebrate the festive season by decorating their doorsteps. Judging is underway, and the winners of this year’s competition will be announced on Wednesday 16th December.
Carl Cooke, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, said: “"Supporting local community events means a great deal to us, now more than ever, so we are delighted to have been able to support this year’s MyShrewsbury's 'Decorate Your Doorstep' competition.
“It’s not been an easy year for anyone, so we were delighted to be able to support the MyShrewsbury Decorate your Doorstep competition and encourage the residents at our Lily Hay development to take part and add some sparkle to their doorsteps.”
Commenting on the support it has received from Taylor Wimpey, Chantal Worsdell, Sales Accounts Manager for the My Shrewsbury “Decorate your Doorstep” competition, said: “We are delighted to have received support from Taylor Wimpey’s for this year’s competition.
