A team of junior footballers in Staffordshire will take to the pitch this season in a brand new home strip, thanks to a fourth donation from Taylor Wimpey West Midlands in as many years.

The leading local housebuilder, which is currently building high-quality new homes at its Burntwood Manor development in Burntwood, donated £500 to local Under-14s side Cresswell Colts FC, which will be used to cover the cost of the team’s home kits.

Over the last four years, Taylor Wimpey has donated more than £1,750 to Cresswell Colts FC, which has been used to purchase new equipment and strips for the players, and provide sponsorship for the match balls, training balls and corner flags throughout their 2016/2017 season.

The side, who play their home matches in Cannock, finished second in the Walsall Junior Youth League last year, and are hoping to put in an even stronger performance during  this season.

“I’ve been coaching the team since they were playing mini-soccer, and I’ve seen the squad expand to 14 players during that time,” says David Smith, manager of Cresswell Colts Under 14s.

“I was really pleased when Taylor Wimpey agreed to support the club for the new season, and because we rely so heavily on sponsorships like this, it came as a huge help. Taylor Wimpey are a company that does like to give back and they have definitely gone the extra mile for us again.”

Elaine Cartwright, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, says: “As a considerate local housebuilder, we are committed to helping the communities in which we build our new homes, so we were thrilled to extend our support to Cresswell Colts Under14s for a fourth year running.

“We would like to wish the team all the best for this season and we hope that the new kits will bring them good luck!”

There is a fantastic range of two, three and four-bedroom homes currently available to reserve at Burntwood Manor, with prices starting from £157,995.

To find out more, property-seekers should visit the Sales and Marketing Suite, located off Milestone Way, Burntwood, Staffordshire, WS7 3XD, and open Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Alternatively, the Sales Executive can be contacted on 01543 223167.
