    The Location

Located just a short distance from both Stafford and Uttoxeter, this exciting development offers modern living in a peaceful, well-connected setting.
Blenheim Manor’s carefully designed layout sees the new homes, traditional in style, arranged around a large public open space with play area.

    Shopping and entertainment

Stafford is the closest town, less than eight miles away and offering an extensive selection of amenities. Shopping facilities here include The Guildhall Shopping Centre and Queens Shopping Park.

There are restaurants, pubs, bars, cinemas and entertainments venues catering to every taste. Stafford Gatehouse Theatre is the town’s main entertainment venue, and Staffordshire County showground, just outside the town, stages national as well as local events.
    Leisure and days out

Alton Towers is just half an hour away from the Blenheim Manor development while Drayton Manor theme park is 45 minutes away.

For a quieter day out, Cannock Chase, an officially-designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, begins just a couple of miles south of the village, and offers a plethora of attractive walks and cycle trails.

Also close by are the award-winning Trentham Gardens, which incorporate Trentham Monkey Forest, where visitors can walk amongst the monkeys, the National Trust-owned Shugborough Hall, and the racecourse at Uttoxeter.

The 14th century Stafford Castle is worth a visit, and Stoke-on-Trent’s attractions include the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery and the working Gladstone Pottery Museum.

    Education

Parents will appreciate that there’s a choice of well-regarded schools located close by, including the village’s own St Peter’s C of E Primary School and local secondary schools like St Bede’s School and the Weston Road Academy.
Staffordshire’s further education establishments range from Stafford College in nearby Stafford, to Staffordshire University and Keele University, both also within easy reach of Blenheim Manor.

    Transport links

Blenheim Manor is handy for both the A518, which skirts the village just over a mile to the north, and the A51 which runs to the west. The M6 motorway can be reached just beyond Stafford, with quick access north to Stoke-on-Trent and south to Birmingham.

The nearby Stafford railway station is an important main line interchange station, where trains from one of the five platforms can take you north to Liverpool, south to Birmingham and London and west to Wales.

Residents host Get To Know Your Neighbours day

The community spirit at our Blenheim Manor development is in full swing thanks to a free event organised by two next-door neighbours.

    Taylor Wimpey - Blenheim Manor

The ‘Get To Know Your Neighbours’ day – which took place on Sunday 6th August on the main green at the development – was created by Claire Saunders and Fergal Doyle to help new families make friends in the area.

Residents of Blenheim Manor joined forces to kick-start the fabulous festivities by bringing tables, chairs, food and drinks to share. A barbecue was provided by a local pub, The Green Man in Hixon, and children had the opportunity to enjoy two bouncy castles.

Claire says: “I thought it’d be lovely to start this tradition at Blenheim Manor after being inspired by my Nan’s neighbours in Belfast, who would all meet up regularly.

“Our main aim for the fun day was to get people talking to their neighbours and continue building a strong community here. There are lots of new homeowners who have moved to the development from across the country as well as from the surrounding areas who didn’t know anyone before this event.

“We have quite a few families living here with children who play together and for some parents this was the first opportunity they had to meet properly, instead of just saying hello in passing.

“Seeing everyone in our community working together to make this amazing day happen has been an incredible experience.”

We contributed an £80 donation towards the day which was spent on the bouncy castles and charcoal for the barbecue.

Claire adds: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their donation and to all of the Blenheim Manor community who helped to make the day a huge success – it’s been lovely meeting everyone!”

Elaine Cartwright, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, says: “We value the communities in which we build and always strive to further enrich the local area by supporting vital community-building events like the ‘Get To Know Your Neighbours’ day at Blenheim Manor.

“We’re so proud that the residents at our development all came together to make this celebration of the local community a roaring success!”
