Part Exchange helps Barford family fall in love with Avonbridge Walk

A Barford family are loving life in their their new Taylor Wimpey home after moving to the Avonbridge Walk development stress-free thanks to the housebuilder’s Part Exchange initiative.

Joanna and Ben Linfield had lived in Barford for some time with their son George and knew they wanted to remain within the village due to the great connections to local towns and cities such as Leamington Spa and Birmingham, as well as the highly-rated schools within the catchment area. With a new addition to the family on the way, the Linfields knew they would need to seek out a home with some more space for their growing family. When they discovered that Taylor Wimpey was building in the village and they could take advantage of initiatives such as Part Exchange to make the move-in process easier, they quickly reserved a four-bedroom Shelford home at the Avonbridge Walk development.

Joanna, 35, said: “We knew that we wanted to buy from Taylor Wimpey as the build quality was so high and we felt they offered everything we needed. What’s more, we’ve been based in Barford for some time and didn’t want to relocate too far - so having this great development on our doorstep and close to brilliant schools for our children was a massive plus. The purchasing process was plainsailing and welcoming in 2019 in our Shelford was truly wonderful.”

Part Exchange allows for you to move to a Taylor Wimpey home without selling your old property on the open market. Based on two independent valuations, Taylor Wimpey will make an offer on your old home, allowing you to avoid paying for estate agents or worrying about house buying chains.

Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, added: “It’s always brilliant to hear that our customers are happy with their new home. At Taylor Wimpey we’re proud of both the quality of the homes we provide and the initiatives we offer to help make purchasing one of our homes as easy as possible. Avonbridge Walk is one of our newer developments with a number of plots available and Barford is a real hidden gem with great connections to so many cities in the Midlands - once you visit, you can’t help but fall in love with it.”

Taylor Wimpey is proud to leave a lasting legacy in Warwick

Pupils at Newburgh Primary School in Warwick have been getting green-fingered by planting daffodil bulbs on the school grounds. The bulbs were donated by Taylor Wimpey Midlands as part of its national Proud campaign to show the housebuilder’s commitment and pride in leaving a lasting legacy in the communities in which it builds.

The planting took place on 12th November, and the bulbs are set to grow into a bright, floral tribute to the local area. Taylor Wimpey is building new homes at its Avonbridge Walk development in nearby Barford, and members of the local sales team joined pupils and staff to help with the planting.

Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are proud to be building a new community at our Avonbridge Walk development in Barford and we want to leave a place that both our customers and other local residents will enjoy long after we have finished building. We were thrilled to work with Newburgh Primary School pupils and we hope that the bulbs will grow into a lovely display that school community will admire in years to come.”

Andrew Smith, headteacher at Newburgh Primary, said: “It’s great to see a company like Taylor Wimpey think about the wider community while they are building in the local area, and leave something beautiful behind that will last for years to come. We all loved getting to work with our spades and can’t wait to see the results.”

Barford gets classical music treat with Taylor Wimpey's support

Our Avonbridge Walk team has helped to give Barford residents a summer night to remember by sponsoring an orchestral concert and cheese and wine tasting in the heart of the village.

The Summer Cheese, Wine and Classical Event will take place for the third time at King George's Field in Barford on Friday 21st June 2019. The night will feature a highlight performance from Birmingham City University’s Royal Birmingham Conservatoire musicians and ticket sales will support Barford Sports Club, which manages the field for the village. We were happy to put £750 in sponsorship towards this year’s event in order to ensure as much money as possible could go to the club.

King George’s Field underwent a £500,000 refurbishment in 2016, bringing new tennis courts, a multi-use games area and improved children’s play area to Barford.  The project enabled the formation of Barford Football Club which now has three junior football teams playing at the field. The work was partly funded by Taylor Wimpey through planning contributions for a previous development in the village, as well as various grants and fundraising by the local community.

Mark Griffin, Event Organiser for Barford Sports Club, said: “This sponsorship is a welcome boost to our club and very much appreciated. We work hard to raise funds to ensure our activities and equipment are fit for purpose. With the three year anniversary since the field refurbishment now upon us it is rather fitting that we can stage an event for entertainment for our residents. Demand for tickets from local residents is really high and we look forward to another enjoyable event where really talented young musicians come to Barford to entertain us.”
