YOUTH FOOTBALLERS KITTED OUT BY OUR DONATION
A team of junior footballers in Staffordshire are taking to the pitch this season in a brand new home strip, thanks to our support for the fourth year running!
We donated £500 to Cresswell Colts FC Under-14s to cover the cost of the team’s home kits.
Over the last four years, Taylor Wimpey has donated more than £1,750 to the club, which has used the cash to purchase new equipment and strips for the players, and provide sponsorship for the match balls, training balls and corner flags.
The Under-14s, who play their home matches in Cannock, finished second in the Walsall Junior Youth League last year, and are hoping to put in an even stronger performance this season.
“I’ve been coaching the team since they were playing mini-soccer, and I’ve seen the squad expand to 14 players during that time,” says David Smith, manager of Cresswell Colts Under-14s.
“I was really pleased when Taylor Wimpey agreed to support the club for the new season, and because we rely so heavily on sponsorships like this, it came as a huge help. Taylor Wimpey is a company that does like to give back and they have definitely gone the extra mile for us again.”

DOWNSIZER TERESA FINNDS THE PERFECT APARTMENT AT TAYLOR WIMPEY'S DOULTON BROOK!
When Teresa Walsh decided to downsize from her five-bedroom home, she knew that moving to a beautiful new apartment at Taylor Wimpey’s Doulton Brook development in Wollaston, Stourbridge, would be ideal!

It’s the first time that Teresa (57), a self-employed Energy Consultant, has lived in a brand new property – and it was the luxurious quality of the apartments at the development which captured her heart immediately.
“Taylor Wimpey has put a lot of work in to making my new home look beautiful with all of the interior Options I’ve chosen,” she says. “From the flooring to the kitchen, everything is brand new – I love it!”
Teresa had initially been apprehensive about taking on the task of moving to a new home – however the Taylor Wimpey team at the Sales and Marketing Suite reassured her and provided plenty of support throughout the moving process.
“Moving from a five-bedroom house to a new two-bedroom apartment has been stress-free thanks to Taylor Wimpey,” Teresa explains, “Everyone from the team has been incredible throughout the big move – they’ve been very attentive and accommodating.”
She continues: “Sarah, the Customer Relations Manager, took great care in showing me all the appliances and how they worked when we went through the interior Options range, while Emma and Linda, the Sales Executives, were always very helpful, knowledgeable and reliable.
“Shaun and John, the Site Managers, have been amazing throughout the moving process. They can’t do enough to help!
“Everyone has kept me updated throughout each step and have made everything so easy – even now I’ve settled in, they still pop over to check everything is working well and to see how I am!”
Teresa also loves having her daughter living close by. “She absolutely adores her apartment too,” Teresa explains. “We both love how Doulton Brook has a beautiful rural atmosphere where you can look at the stunning view of the canal from the apartments, while still being within easy reach of Wollaston centre – which is only a short walk away.”
Since settling into her new home, Teresa has been embraced into the heart of a burgeoning community of new homeowners at the development.
She says: “There’s a lovely community spirit here. My neighbours are very friendly and we like to get together for meals out.
“I’m always nipping over to have coffee with the Taylor Wimpey Sales Executives too – they’re just as much a part of the Doulton Brook community as my neighbours.
“You just can’t beat the atmosphere and environment here – I wish I’d moved sooner!”
