Homes for sale

Ideally located in Fishbourne Village, just 2 miles west of Chichester, bordering Chichester Harbour, you are perfectly placed to enjoy village living at its best but with excellent transport links on the doorstep.

Fishbourne Railway Station is within walking distance and provides regular services to Chichester taking just 3 minutes, and onward to London Victoria. Alternatively London Waterloo can be reached via the regular service to Havant. Together with road access via the A259 to the A27 and onward to the M27 and A3 (M) getting out and about from Acorn Grove couldn’t be easier.

Fishbourne Village has two pubs, both offering a traditional welcoming pub atmosphere, with great food available at lunchtime and evenings. The Fishbourne Centre is a state-of-the-art facility for the entire village to enjoy as it is an ideal venue for meetings, clubs, family celebrations, conferences, healthy living activities, music, drama - or just a relaxing drink and a chat. The Centre looks out onto 17 acres of Playing Field including cricket and football pitches, tennis courts, a croquet lawn, a bowling green, a multi-sport court and a secure children's play area.

The weekly shop couldn’t be easier with a supermarket located just over a mile from Acorn Grove. Fishbourne Village has a pre-school and Primary School and for secondary school and further education there is plenty of choice close by. St Peter and St Mary’s Church is located on the edge of the village and is an important part of the community with Christians worshipping on the site for more than 750 years.

When it comes to that all important leisure time, you can walk to the internationally renowned Roman Palace, discovered in 1960 by accident during the digging of a water main. The discovery led to nine seasons of excavations that showed the site had developed from a military base at the time of the Roman invasion in AD43 to a sumptuous Palace by the end of the first century. Over the last five years, new excavations by the Sussex Archaeological Society have revealed exciting new insights into this development. Throughout the year there are lots of exciting special events from Roman Soldiers to Baroque concerts.

If you want to go further afield, head to the city of Chichester which offers a rich cultural scene, with excellent shopping from boutiques to high street names and leisure facilities, including the internationally renowned Festival Theatre. Not to mention the opportunity to explore its breath-taking 12th Century Cathedral and unique harbour, which is a haven for wildlife. With festivals and events throughout the year, including the Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed, you’re sure to enjoy everything this beautiful location has to offer.

If you love the idea of peaceful village living, but still crave convenient city connections, Acorn Grove may well be the destination for you.
