Community Benefits

As a local homebuilder we know it's important to engage with, and contribute to, the communities in which we build our new homes. Lindfield has a vibrant and thriving community and we are looking forward to working with local groups, schools and charities over the coming months. 
As well as building new homes in Lindfield, we will be providing over £1,270,000 to the local authority as part of the planning agreement for the development. This funding will be used towards improving local facilities for local people and we hope that residents of the Lindfield community will benefit. We will be providing over £141,000 towards sports facilities, more than £10,000 towards junction improvements and over £33,000 towards a library. In addition, more than £880,000 will be distributed by West Sussex County Council for primary and secondary school education in the borough. 
At Taylor Wimpey we’re keen to support the next generation of builders and have employed 12 bricklaying and six carpentry apprentices to help with construction of the new homes at Lindfield Meadows. The apprentices are supported by master tradesmen and have the opportunity to develop their practical skills through on the job training.

We help encourage pupils at Warden Park Primary Academy to walk to school

In support of International Walk to School month this October, we have donated 60 high visibility snap bands to pupils at Warden Park Primary Academy.

Steve Davis, Headteacher at Warden Park Primary Academy, says: "It's really important to us that our pupils are happy and engaged when they arrive at school and walking is a great way for them to start the day. We want to encourage children and their parents to walk to school and the high visibility snap bands donated by Taylor Wimpey will help them to do this more safely."

Help to Buy: Equity Loan


The Government backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme is available here. The scheme is open to both first time buyers and home movers alike, and means you'll need just 5% deposit to buy a new home.

With Help to Buy, the Government will lend you up to 20% of the value of your new build home via an equity loan. You will need to secure up to a 75% mortgage and put down a 5% deposit. You’ll own 100% of your home from day one.
