Children design their own posters for our Walk to School Campaign

Congratulations to our prize winners at Birchen Coppice Primary School

Local school children at Birchen Coppice Primary School in Kidderminster, were invited to create their own posters for a Walk to School poster competition.

The pupils’ posters focus on encouraging drivers to slow down, and have been put up outside the Worcestershire school. In recognition of their efforts, we have donated 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes of gift vouchers for the winners.

Elaine Taylor, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our high-quality new homes, which is why we invited pupils at Birchen Coppice Primary School to take part in our poster competition.

“Walking to school can make a real difference to children’s health and wellbeing, but we understand why some parents have concerns about traffic and speeding.

“Our poster campaign was a great way to get the message across to drivers outside the school that they need to be considerate and slow down, and I’d like to congratulate all of the children who took part.”

Jason Cortis, Community Activities Officer at the school, says: “We encourage the children to walk to school to promote a healthier lifestyle and to reduce traffic outside the school. We were delighted to accept Taylor Wimpey’s challenge to design posters and were really pleased with pupils’ designs.”
