    Taylor Wimpey is proud to leave a lasting legacy in Pershore

    Pupils from Pershore High School in Pershore have been getting green-fingered by planting 400 daffodil bulbs on the school grounds. The bulbs were donated by Taylor Wimpey Midlands as part of its national Proud campaign, in order to show the housebuilder’s commitment to leaving a lasting legacy in the communities where its developments are based. 

    Involving members of the school’s eco group as well as students enrolled on a level one RHS horticulture qualification, the planting took place on 25th October and the bulbs are set to grow into a bright, floral tribute to the local area. 

    Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are proud to be building a new community at our Plum Tree Walk development in Pershore and we want to leave a place that both our customers and other local residents will enjoy long after we have finished building. We were thrilled to work with Pershore High School to help with the planting and we hope that the bulbs will grow into a lovely display that pupils and the wider Pershore community will admire in years to come.”

    Phil Hanson, headteacher at Pershore High School, said: “It’s great to see a company like Taylor Wimpey think about the wider community while they are building in the local area, leaving something beautiful behind that will last for years to come. We all loved getting to work with our spades and can’t wait to see the results.”
