A visit to our development in Monifieth inspires the next generation
Nursery children aged just three and four years old, were given an exciting opportunity to see our new homes that are under construction at Victoria Grange in Monifieth as part of learning more about their local area at nursery.
Youngsters from the morning session from The Grange Nursery in Monifieth explored our development to see how we build new homes. There was a chance to see some of the various machines that help to move materials on-site, and the children had the opportunity to visit the two show homes and had fun picking their favourite bedroom.
Our team enjoyed having the opportunity to inspire the next generation of future homeowners as Duncan Currie, Site Manager leading the delivery of the construction of the affordable homes at Victoria Grange adds: “We are really proud of our Victoria Grange development as well as the part we play in the local community here, and we really enjoyed meeting the children from The Grange nursery.

We get children at Seaview Primary reading with a donation for new books

We have donated £250 to Seaview Primary School’s library in Monifieth to celebrate World Book Day, which took place on Thursday 1st March. World Book Day aims to encourage more children to love reading and Taylor Wimpey’s donation will go towards providing children in school with many more new books to enjoy.
Scott Haxton, Headteacher at Seaview Primary School, which is located near to our Victoria Grange development, commented: “I would like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey on behalf of everyone at our school. We really appreciate their donation, which will go a long way towards new reading material. Books are a great way to fire up children’s imaginations and to teach them about the world around them, so it’s brilliant to be able to add some new titles to our school library.”
