    Primary School pupils get a lesson at our development!

    Masterton Primary school pupils at our Masterton Gate development

    Pupils from a primary school in Dunfermline have been given an exciting opportunity to see the new homes that are under construction at our Masterton Gardens development in Dunfermline as part of their ‘Learning about my Community’ project in school.

    Youngsters from the Primary Four class from Masterton Primary School asked if they could explore our development to learn all about how a house is built, look at various stages of construction and take the opportunity to visit a showhome at the development.

    The team in Dunfermline was more than happy to facilitate the visit and found the children to be very enthusiastic with lots of interesting and well-informed questions as Graham Spence, Site Manager at Masterton Gardens adds: “I was delighted to be able to welcome the pupils from Masterton Primary School along to the development for an exciting insight into the build process of a Taylor Wimpey home.

    Help to Buy (Scotland)

    The Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Communities and Pensioners’ Rights, Mr Neil, launched the Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme on 21 January 2016.

    You'll need to contribute a minimum 85% of the purchase price of a home through a combination of a mortgage and your deposit. You'll be able to obtain assistance from the Scottish Government of up to a maximum of 15% of the purchase price. The Scottish Government equity stake will be by way of shared equity agreement and second-ranking.

    The maximum prices for the Help to Buy properties are as follows:

    • For financial year 2016/17 for transactions completing up to 31 March 2017, the threshold price is £230,000;
    • For financial year 2017/18 for transactions completing up to 31 March 2018, the threshold price is £200,000;
    • For financial year 2018/19 for transactions completing up to 31 March 2019, the threshold price is £175,000;
