We help out The Trussell Trust foodbank with £500 donation

We have awarded St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh with a £1,000 donation and the Trussell Trust Food Bank in Dunfermline with £500 following the conclusion of our “Built for the community” campaign in the east of Scotland.

Our campaign encouraged residents from across the east of Scotland to vote for their chosen causes, and St Columba’s Hospice was crowned the winner after receiving the most votes from the local community.  Voting was also very high for the Trussell Trust Food Bank in Dunfermline and the team from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland awarded them a runners-up donation of £500.

The Trussell Trust runs a network of over 400 foodbanks, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis across the UK, where thirteen million people live below the poverty line.

We give boost to Bloom in Kingseat

    Kingseat in Bloom

We have confirmed an annual donation of £500 for the next three years to Bloom in Kingseat.

This funding will provide a boost to the local fundraising that currently takes place, and it will allow the group to increase their spend on a range of high-quality plants for 2018 ensuring the village will benefit from an even more colourful and impressive display next year.

This commitment follows the first release of new homes for sale at our much-anticipated development of 45 new homes in the pretty Fife village of Kingseat and marks our willingness to be part of the local communities in which it builds.

Now in its 11th year, the Bloom in Kingseat Group consists of a vital core of 10 – 12 volunteers who are all retired, and give up their time and use their expertise to enhance the overall look of the village.  The group creates and maintains flower beds, display tubs and hanging baskets, and encourages the spread of wild flowers and spring bulbs.

Karen Armstrong, Sales & Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland said: “We’re delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile local organisation in Kingseat, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more fabulous floral displays in the village next year."
