Award winning Site Manager

Andy Shaw has worked in the industry for 35 years, and has recently received a prestigious national prize.

Our Site Manager Andy Shaw has already been named regional champion in the NHBC (National House- Building Council) Pride in the Job Awards. Now he's gone one better, by scooping a national prize for his work at Diglis Water in Worcester.

Andy was announced as runner-up in the Multi-Storey Builder category at the NHBC national Supreme Awards ceremony held in London last month. The award recognises his dedication to building high quality homes. It also provides purchasers with the reassurance that the development provides exceptional customer service.

A 35-year career culminates in a national prize

Having begun his career as a joiner in 1980 before moving into management in 2000, Andy puts his success down to his attention to detail and a drive to please his customers – as well as great teamwork at Diglis Water.

He says: “It’s absolutely fantastic to have won the national runner-up prize – it’s been an amazing year for me. “I’m so proud to be working at this incredible development. Although the award has got my name on it, it’s really thanks to all the hard work of everyone on site at Diglis Water that has made this possible and I’d like to congratulate them all.”

Pride in the Job is the only UK-wide awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of Site Managers who achieve the highest standards in new home construction. The scheme has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in the UK for over three decades.
