An Exeter-based site manager has been recognised as one of the best in the South West after winning a second award for his dedication to quality housebuilding.

Luke Cox, who oversees work at our Mayfield Gardens development in Monkerton, Exeter, has been named as a Seal of Excellence Award winner in the National House-Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Award scheme.

Luke is just one of just a handful of Seal of Excellence winners from the South West region. He was honoured during an online ceremony on Friday 6th November, when four Regional Award winners were also revealed.

The awards recognise an individual’s dedication to building high-quality homes and are presented following a rigorous judging process by NHBC inspectors. This includes assessing the developments throughout the year, giving homebuyers the assurance that our developments provide top-quality homes and excellent customer service.

The Seal of Excellence Award is the next step up from the Quality Award, which Luke won in July this year.

Luke said: “Winning the Seal of Excellence Award is a great honour for the whole team at Mayfield Gardens and a reward for the commitment given by all departments, subcontractors and consultants. It means our customers can be sure that their new homes are of the highest quality.”
Rob Baker, Production Director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “For Luke to win one the the NHBC’s highest accolades is a fantastic achievement. His team at Mayfield Gardens works incredibly hard and they all take great pride in ensuring that the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.

“Maintaining the highest levels of quality and customer service is a key commitment for Taylor Wimpey, and Luke’s award is recognition of the work that all of our teams put in to achieve this aim.”
