Our flagship apartment development in Norwich city centre has been shortlisted for another prestigious local building award.
Our highly sought-after NR1 development has been selected as one of four finalists in the ‘Best Large New Housing Development’ category of the LABC East Anglia Building Excellence Awards 2015.
The nomination follows previous awards success for NR1 in 2013, when it received the Design Award from the Norwich Society, a group which champions the city’s finest buildings from the past and promotes the best architectural design and planning for its future.
NR1 comprises 174 apartments across six blocks, with each block clad in aluminium and with a ‘displaced wedge’ detail leading to balconies offering views over the River Wensum. Each block also incorporates an environmentally-friendly brown roof providing a natural habitat for plants and wildlife.
Caroline Carter, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, says: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for yet another prestigious local building award, which we feel is a reflection of all the hard work which has gone into creating one of Norwich’s most exciting new residential developments in recent years.
“We’re taking nothing for granted as we are up against some very stiff competition, but we are very much looking forward to the LABC East Anglia Building Excellence Awards finals in June. May the best development win!”
There’s a superb selection of contemporary homes currently available at NR1, including one and two-bedroom apartments, plus two and three-bedroom penthouses.
