Date: Thursday 19 July 2018

Andy Johnson, Site Manager at our Midlands’ Saint Leonards development, is celebrating having won a prestigious national house-building award. Selected from around 16,000 site managers in the UK, Andy Johnson was honoured with a National House-Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Award.

The award recognises an individual’s dedication to building high-quality homes for new homebuyers and are presented following a rigorous judging process by NHBC inspectors. This includes assessing the developments throughout the year, as well as spot checks, giving homebuyers the assurance that the Saint Leonards development provides top-quality homes and excellent customer service.

Andy Johnson, Site Manager at Saint Leonards, said: “I’m delighted to have won a Quality Award. It’s a fantastic honour, not just for me, but the whole team at Saint Leonards. They all work incredibly hard and take great pride in ensuring that the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.”

Tim Nutt, Managing Director of Taylor Wimpey Midlands, added: “We are committed to maintaining the highest levels of quality and customer service, and this recognition has ensured that we continue to be an NHBC award-winning housebuilder year after year. Andy’s Quality Award is thoroughly deserved and we’ll all be supporting him as he progresses through to the regional heats and hopefully to the grand final in London.”

Pride in the Job is the only UK-wide awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of Site Manager’s who achieve the highest standards in new home construction. It has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in the UK for over three decades.

The competition’s regional events take place in the autumn, whilst the Supreme Awards gala final will be held in London on Friday 25th January 2019.
