We’re delighted to have sponsored the West Suffolk College Construction Management student of the year award for the second year running.
The ceremony took place on Saturday 27th September at St Edmundsbury Cathedral and this year’s honour went to David Bulford, who is currently completing a BSv Construction Management course and receives a £100 Amazon voucher from Taylor Wimpey.
Caroline Carter, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, says: “As a responsible housebuilder, it is important for us to support the future generation of builders, carpenters and other tradesmen, which is why we have sponsored the Construction Management student of the year award for the second time.
“I’d like to offer my congratulations to David and wish him the very best of luck with his ongoing studies and future career.”
The college’s BSc Construction Management programme includes modules on project management, finance and contract law, and students will undertake work placements as part of the course.
Barry Chambers, Programme Leader of H.E. Construction, says: “David had a determination right from the start of the course that he was going to graduate with a first class degree. However determination is not enough on its own – David’s aim for perfection was achieved only by his hard work, drive and passion.
“I congratulate David on his achievement and wish him well for the future, wherever life takes him – hopefully to the next level of learning.”
We’re currently building new homes at our Concept development in Turnpike Road, Red Lodge, Suffolk.
