TW Bristol - Cam community donation

Our team in Bristol has announced its support of The GL11 Community Hub, the charity that helps Cam residents. The GL11 Community Hub connects people to provide both social and economic opportunities, with the aim of dispelling isolation and improving wellbeing. The community hub has received a donation of £250 from our Bristol region, which will insulate a new ‘Men’s Shed’, enabling members to continue their projects in the colder months.

Indigo Redfern, manager at The GL11 Community Hub comments: “As a universal community service, we work with people of all ages, with the particular aim of supporting those who are disadvantaged or vulnerable. We rely on support from local businesses and would like to extend a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey for this donation.”

Charlie Joseph, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Bristol, adds:  “At Taylor Wimpey, it is important to us that we don’t just build homes, but that we help build communities. By supporting worthwhile organisations such as The GL11 Community Hub, we can help local residents. The GL11 Community Hub plays a vital role in the Cam area, near our development The Halt, so we were delighted to get involved when we heard of the opportunity.”

Concludes Indigo: “One of our Men’s Shed participants recently said how being part of The GL11 Community Hub had transformed his life and made it all worthwhile, so all monies donated really do make a tangible difference to people’s lives. We are thrilled that Taylor Wimpey has given this support to enable us to continue providing company, retraining and a range of opportunities.”
