Beavers and Cubs enjoy bird display event
Shevington Beavers and Cubs have flocked to an extra special bird display event hosted by our Manchester business unit.
The children were invited to our Oakwood Meadows development where they were given a rare opportunity to view and handle a selection of birds of prey, usually only ever seen in the wild.
Jenifer Green, leader of the 1st Shevington Beavers, says: “We believe it’s very important for children to learn as much as they can about the countryside around them and the animals that live there.
“Unfortunately, nowadays, some children don’t know the difference between a barn owl and a seagull. This was a fantastic way for the children to get a close up look at these stunning birds, as well as gain a stronger understanding of how they survive in the wild, what they eat and how they hunt.”
Located on Vicarage Lane, Oakwood Meadows is ideal for homeowners looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by fields and the forest of Greaves Wood, residents can still enjoy a range of convenient local amenities, including a post office, library and selection of local pubs and restaurants.
Speaking of the event, Chloe Dunn, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, adds: “It was an absolute delight to welcome the children to our development and we are so pleased that they enjoyed themselves.
“At Taylor Wimpey, we like to take every opportunity to teach younger members of the community more about the areas where they live and leave them with vital lessons that will last a lifetime.”
Jenifer concludes: “We would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for inviting us to the event. All of the children had a fantastic time and we look forward to doing more exciting activities with the homebuilder soon.”
There’s a stunning range of three and four bedroom homes currently available at Oakwood Meadows.
