We helped residents at Great Western Park in Didcot get into the festive spirit and meet their neighbours by supporting their Christmas carol event which took place on Thursday 4th December.
As part of the Great Western Park Consortium, along with developers David Wilson and Persimmon Homes, we provided lighting for the musical event as well as a £500 donation towards mince pies and mulled wine.
The event was organised by the Great Western Park Residents’ Association and also involved children making lanterns to add to the festive atmosphere.
John Boden, Chairman of the Great Western Park Residents’ Association, says: “We would like to say a big thank you to the consortium for supporting this event, which has become a popular fixture in the Great Western Park social calendar.
“It’s a great way for residents to get together with friends and neighbours and we were delighted to see so many members of the community come along.”
Pauline Fletcher on behalf of the Great Western Park Consortium, says: “We were only too happy to offer our support to the residents’ association and help make the Christmas carol event such a success.
“We understand that building new homes is about developing new communities too, so it is particularly pleasing to see such an active residents’ group and such fantastic sense of community spirit within Great Western Park.”
The Great Western Park development will see £60 million invested in transport, schools and other community facilities both within the development itself and the surrounding area.
Over time, the new community will benefit from new primary and secondary schools, shops, community centres, a health centre, open spaces and play areas.
There’s a great selection of three and four-bedroom homes currently available at Great Western Park.
