Children and young people were able to enjoy the use of a climbing wall at a fun day in Calverton, Nottinghamshire, thanks to a donation from us.

We sponsored the Calverton Play Day £500 to pay for the climbing wall, which was one of a number of attractions at the event on Saturday 2nd August.

This year marked the second annual Calverton Play Day, a free fun-filled afternoon for children and young people aged 14 years and under which takes place at William Lee Memorial Park.

Wendy Pitchford, one of the organisers, says: “Last year’s play day was really good, everyone enjoyed themselves and many parents said they couldn’t believe that they could bring their children along to take part in all of the activities without having to pay.

“This year we had a laser quest marquee, the climbing wall, a large sandpit, bouncy castles and more, so there was a variety of activities to choose from to suit all ages.

“I’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey – the climbing wall which they sponsored was very popular and the donation paid for it in full.”

Mariana Knight, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, so we were only too pleased to offer our support to the Calverton Play Day by sponsoring the climbing wall.

“I hope all of the children and young people who got the chance to have a go on the climbing wall had a great time doing so.”

We are building new homes at The Brambles in Calverton.
