WS - Help to Make a Move

If you’re looking to make a move to a brand new home in West Scotland, make sure you don’t miss our special events taking place this weekend!

On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May, we’re encouraging prospective homebuyers to visit selected developments across the region that offer the Scottish Government’s Help to Buy (Scotland) initiative.

What’s more, we’re offering visitors a chance to get a sneak peak inside some of the new homes available to buy right now using Help to Buy (Scotland), as we throw the doors open to the three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Baird’ and ‘Balfour’ homes at our Dunsmuir Park development in Kilmarnock.

We will also provide free access to Independent Financial Advisors at the events, offering prospective buyers free independent financial advice based on their individual circumstances.

The Help to Buy (Scotland) measures include an interest-free equity loan scheme, which is available on new-build properties up to the value of £250,000, and it is possible to repay the Scottish Government’s equity loan at any time. Both first-time buyers and existing homeowners can take advantage of the scheme.

Eligible customers will receive a Scottish Government interest-free equity loan of up to 20%, which means they only need to put down a 5% deposit and may only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

Developments hosting homebuyer events on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May include:
