People were invited to support an appeal to raise funds for a brand new day hospice for East Devon by coming along to a huge bake sale at our Cranbrook development in Exeter.
The Great Cranbrook Bake Sale took place on Saturday 12th April in the Sales Information Centre at Cranbrook and raised money for Hospiscare’s East Devon Day Hospice appeal.
Local people came along to feast on cakes made by staff from Taylor Wimpey, local residents at Cranbrook and staff at Hospiscare.
Janine Copleston, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Not only did visitors get the chance to sample the tasty treats on offer, but by coming along to the sale they helped to raise vital funds towards providing a brand new day hospice for East Devon.”
Hospiscare is working to raise £250,000 to help build and run a new state-of-the-art day hospice in East Devon to provide care for thousands of local people. The new hospice will be in Kings Road, Honiton, and by raising £250,000, Hospiscare will have enough funding to complete the project and cover the running costs for two years.
Sarah Smith, Appeal Fundraiser for Hospiscare, says: “The money raised from this event will make a real difference to our East Devon Appeal. We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their support.”
