Roger Happé, Site Manager at our Queensacre development in Church Crookham, Hampshire, recently joined homeowner Katherine Elliot for a skydive to raise money for children’s charity Dreamflight.

The pair have raised a massive £1,000 already for Dreamflight, which funds a holiday of a lifetime to Orlando in Florida for children with a serious illness or disability.

Roger (33), of Deepcut, Surrey, says: “Completing the skydive was an amazing feeling, the initial jump out the plane took my breath away but once the parachute opened and we were gliding down it was brilliant.

“I’m so pleased I got involved with the jump with Katherine and would definitely do it again – in fact as soon as we landed she was already asking me if I’d sign up again next year!

”Every year, Dreamflight takes around 200 children aboard a Boeing 747 on a holiday without their parents to Orlando. The youngsters are cared for by a team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and volunteers, and the break gives them a chance to become more confident and independent and meet other children suffering from similar illnesses.

Katherine (36), a customer service manager for British Airways, has already completed a number of skydives for Dreamflight and she persuaded Roger to join her for her latest quest.

Roger and Katherine both handed over the £1,000 cheque to Jenny Hillam, Fundraising and Events Manager at Dreamflight earlier this month. Jenny, says: “We cannot thank Roger, Katherine and Taylor Wimpey enough for taking part in the Skydive and for their support, the money Roger and Katherine have raised will pay for 7 children to swim with dolphins on this year’s trip, which is undoubtedly one of their favourite activities.

"Without such support the trip wouldn’t happen, so on behalf of Dreamflight and 192 very special children “Thank You”.

There is currently a range of homes on sale at Queensacre.
