Kelly and Mark Statham-Gill sold their Hugglescote home using the Part Exchange scheme after getting fed up with the lack of space it gave their growing family. The couple and their two children are now settling into their spacious four-bed detached home at the regions sought-after development, Hastings Manor.
The development was an obvious choice for the family as they already lived in the village and were simply looking to upgrade to a bigger home. Hastings Manor is conveniently located close to local amenities, a supermarket and a doctor’s surgery. The local school is also within walking distance from Kelly and Mark’s new home, which is important for them as their two children, Sophie, aged 8, and Harry, aged 4, are already pupils there.
Opting for a new build was the ideal solution for the couple, both 38, who didn’t want to worry about building work or extensive DIY and repairs. After looking at different housetypes, the floorplans of the four-bedroom Harringworth ticked all the boxes for the family.
It was important for Kelly and Mark to find a home with flexibility. The Harringworth is built for growing families with several multi-purpose rooms, and was the ideal choice for the couple. The open kitchen doubles up as a social space and has already been used for hosting a New Year’s Eve party for Kelly and Mark’s friends. They are also using the dining room as the children’s playroom and one of the spare rooms as a study.
Kelly, who works as a nurse, said: “We were always on top of each other in our previous home, but the Harringworth at Hastings Manor came along in the right place at the right time. The space and flexibility of the rooms are brilliant for our lifestyle. I also really liked the features of the staircase and symmetry of the outside of the house – it’s all I ever dreamed of when I was younger.”
