Our employees in South Wales have been so impressed by the high standard of construction and service they see their customers receiving every day, that they’ve decided to purchase their very own homes with us!
Laurie Stanger, Sales Executive at our Pentref Newydd development in Coity, and Glenn Stephens, a Sales and Marketing Administrator based at our South Wales head office in Cardiff, are among the members of staff who’ve recently found their own dream homes with us.
Laurie has bought a two-bedroom house at Latitude at Barry Waterfront with partner Craig Harris, while Glenn and fiancée Abbie Jones have bought a three-bedroom detached house at Dan y Bryn Gaer in Beddau.
Meanwhile Siân Evans, Sales Executive at Glyn Afon in Neath, moved to a four-bedroom property at our Dol y Dderwen in Ammanford with husband Daniel and daughter Celyn in 2011, having upgraded from a two-bedroom semi-detached house just down the road from the development using the fantastic Part Exchange initiative.
Glenn says: “Working for Taylor Wimpey, I know the quality of their homes and the fact they’re a five-star builder.
“I used to be a Sales Executive so I’ve seen the quality of construction close up and this gave me a real peace of mind and meant I was more than happy to buy with Taylor Wimpey.”
Glenn and Abbie love the well-connected location of Dan y Bryn Gaer, which lies between both their families and is also ideally situated for quick links to the M4 and Cardiff. They were also delighted to discover they could afford a much bigger home at the development than they had previously anticipated.
Glenn says: “We initially thought we could afford a two-bedroom terrace but when we looked into it and spoke to the Independent Financial Advisor recommended to us by Taylor Wimpey, we found out we could go ahead and buy a three-bedroom detached house, which is fantastic.”
Meanwhile, Laurie is delighted to be able to afford her own place in her home town of Barry with her partner Craig.
“I’m from Barry and I love it here,” Laurie says. “I always wanted to stay in Barry so it’s so nice to be able to afford my own home here. It’s a great location and it’s a lovely area.
“As a Taylor Wimpey Sales Executive I know all about the high standards our houses are built to. My mind was set a while ago that when I bought my own house I definitely wanted to buy with Taylor Wimpey. The fact that the whole home-buying process is so good for our customers meant I could buy with real confidence.”
With lots more space to enjoy in their new home at Dol y Dderwen, Siân and Daniel have welcomed a new addition to the family since their move, with the birth of Ifan in 2013.
Siân says: “It’s nice to have been able to afford to buy the house I wanted in my local area, near our family and near my daughter’s school. I like the fact we have got plenty of space, with a family kitchen/dining room and four double bedrooms. And Part Exchange was brilliant. I’d do it again if we ever move – it’s so much less hassle than selling your own home.”
Meanwhile, our Sales Executive Sophie Summers, who is based at Waterton Place in Bridgend, has been so impressed with the homes on sale at the development that she’s snapped one up for herself.
Sophie and her partner Adam are looking forward to swapping their rented property for a brand new two-bedroom ‘Appleford’ house at Waterton Place – which will be a happy homecoming for the couple.
“Adam and I have both lived in Bridgend for most of our lives, so we’re really excited to be buying our first house together in a place we know so well and regard as our home,” says Sophie.
“We love the development and were really impressed with the spacious layout and value for money of the ‘Appleford’. We can’t wait to move in!”
