Customers living at developments across Scotland have safely queued to make donations of essential toiletries for patients who are unable to see visitors in Scottish hospitals due to the current restrictions that are in place.
Our appeal for basic items such as shower gel, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes has been incredibly successful, and we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers and how quickly they responded to our appeal. Our teams in the east and west of Scotland manned 16 collection points at developments across Scotland, and we thank everyone for taking part while maintaining social distance.
We boosted the bags and bags of customer donations by supplying a further £2,000 worth of essential items such as socks, underwear and pyjamas – all with the aim of helping in our local communities during this unprecedented health emergency.
Through the kindness and support of our customers, we have been able to increase the number of NHS settings that we hoped to support.
Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland comments: “We were overwhelmed by the generosity and support of this campaign by customers living at our developments across the west of Scotland. Local collections have resulted in direct donations being made to the NHS hospitals and care homes that are close to many of our hearts in the west of Scotland.”
Customers living at developments across the east of Scotland were also very supportive of the appeal as Kirsty McGill, Sales and Marketing Director adds: “Our local communities at developments across the east of Scotland have been so generous with their donations of essential toiletry items. We can’t thank them enough for their contributions which have now been donated to ensure that local people in hospital have access to the essential toiletries they may need.”
