The new Site Manager at our Countess Manor development in Moulton, Northamptonshire, has come a long way since he first joined Taylor Wimpey nine years ago.
Richard Watson started as a forklift driver with the company, spending two years in this role before being promoted to Assistant Site Manager in January 2007.
Over the years he’s worked at several sites across our East Midlands region whilst completing his NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Construction Site Management - Residential Development, and working alongside various experienced award-winning Site Managers, most recently at Copt Oak Gardens in Narborough, Leicestershire.
He moved across to our new Countess Manor development earlier this year and has now earned promotion to become Site Manager, taking on overall responsibility for overseeing construction of this exciting collection of new homes.
Richard says: “I’m delighted to be promoted to Site Manager and take on the challenge of this new role.
“We have a fantastic team at Countess Manor, who all work incredibly hard and take great pride in ensuring that the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.
“Taylor Wimpey is a fantastic company to work for and part of the reason is that the company has really invested in me and helped my career progress.”
David Beeston, Production Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “I’d like to congratulate Richard on his richly-deserved promotion, and I’m confident he will continue to enjoy every success in his new role.
“His story is a great example of the opportunities our employees have to progress within the company and the support we give them to achieve the highest standards professionally.”
There’s a great choice of new three, four and five-bedroom homes currently available at Countess Manor.
