There’s a real buzz in the air at our Waterton Place development in Bridgend, where discerning homebuyers are joining the sales rush to snap up their ideal property.

This exciting collection of two and three-bedroom houses and bungalows is within easy reach of the town centre and has seen 15 plots sold since the development launched in May!

The new homes are being sold from our Pentref Newydd development in Coity, but prospective purchasers can view virtual tours of the properties online, see a 3D scale model of the development and make an appointment to visit the site to get a feel for its exceptional location.

Sophie Summers is responsible for sales at Waterton Place and, aged 23, is one of Taylor Wimpey’s youngest Sales Executives – so with 15 sales already notched up  her career has got off to a flying start!

Sophie was put in charge at Waterton Place after graduating from our industry-leading Sales Academy training scheme and she says the in-depth training she’s received since she joined the company in July 2012 laid the foundations for her success.

“Taylor Wimpey is a brilliant company to work for as I had eight months of training before I even started working at a development as part of the Sales Academy programme,” she explains.

“It’s so rewarding to be able to help customers from the moment they walk into the Sales Centre to the moment they move into their new home. Although I’ve not had anyone move in yet, it’s nice to be making those connections with customers as they start on that journey.”

After spending time at different Taylor Wimpey sites, Sophie took on her first Sales Executive role under supervision at Lysaght Village in Newport, before being given the chance to flourish by herself at Waterton Place.

She adds: “Waterton Place is my first development on my own, but the training I’ve had has given me the confidence I need. It’s a very independent job, but there’s a good support network around me.”
