Work has started on a prestigious new homes development in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, which we are delivering in partnership with Murray Estates Ltd.

Torrance Park is a £60m mixed-use development taking shape on land adjacent to the US PGA-accredited Torrance Park Golf Course in Holytown.

Pre-construction works are well underway for the first phase, which will comprise an impressive mix of 222 three, four and five-bedroom new homes, as well as a new clubhouse, changing facilities and car parking for the popular golf course.

The first homes are due to go on sale in early 2015 at the development, which will also deliver extensive road and infrastructure improvements.

Jestyn Davies, managing director for Murray Estates Ltd said: “We’re delighted to be able to announce Taylor Wimpey as our first residential developer at Torrance Park, and for the local community to see significant pre-construction works getting underway in earnest as plans progress well to launch new homes for sale early in the New Year.”

Willie Burns, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, say: “Our partnership with Murray Estates underlines our ongoing commitment, investment and strong track record of delivering excellent quality developments in North Lanarkshire.

“Taylor Wimpey is one of the largest homebuilders in the UK, helping to create new homes and communities across the country. And we're keen to make a positive contribution to the existing local community of Holytown as our development progresses.”
