Budding interior designers are being given an amazing opportunity to show off their skills by creating the bedroom of their dreams – and have their handiwork recreated in a real Taylor Wimpey showhome!

We’re inviting youngsters to enter our unique competition by designing a tiger-themed children’s room complete with furniture, fixtures and accessories.

The contest is open to anyone aged 16 or below and, as well as seeing their ideas become reality in the new showhome at our Saxon Fields development in Biggleswade, the winner will receive a family ticket* to Woburn Safari Park.

The competition is being held to celebrate Taylor Wimpey North Thames’ sponsorship of the tiger house at Woburn for the second year in succession.

Peter Gurr, Managing Director of Taylor Wimpey North Thames, says: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Woburn Safari Park for another year – and we’re hoping youngsters can help us celebrate by taking part in our fantastic Taylor Wimpey Tiger Room competition.

“Designs should be as creative, colourful and imaginative as possible with the only requirement being that there must be some sort of tiger theme to the room. The winner will be chosen to have their design recreated in our forthcoming showhome at Saxon Fields – and they’ll also be invited with their family to be guests of honour at its official unveiling.

“With free tickets* to Woburn Safari Park also up for grabs, this is a fabulous opportunity for any aspiring interior designer and I’d like to wish all entrants the very best of luck!”

The tiger house at Woburn Safari Park is home to four Amur tigers from the European Endangered Species Program (EEP). The pioneering partnership between Taylor Wimpey North Thames and Woburn began in 2014 and was the first corporate sponsorship deal of its kind.

To enter our competition, youngsters can download an entry form online at All entries need to be received by Tuesday 30th June and further details can be found on the entry form.
