At Taylor Wimpey, we are dedicated to delivering excellence in the design and construction of the homes we build and have a long history of delivering a high level of customer service.
We have been awarded the maximum five star rating for customer satisfaction in an independent survey by the Home Builders’ Federation (HBF), with 91% of customers saying they were satisfied with the quality of their new home and would recommend Taylor Wimpey to a friend.
Regrettably, the cases highlighted by tonight’s Watchdog have clearly not met our high quality standards. We apologise to our customers for the problems that they have experienced and would like to stress that these cases represent a very small and unrepresentative sample of the approximately 10,000 homes that we build each year.
We were already working with each of these customers to rectify the issues identified and are committed to resolving the remaining issues as quickly as possible.
